The men's basketball team struggles as it extends its losing streak to five games after a loss at Georgia 57-49 Wednesday, Jan. 30. This loss drops the Tigers to an 8-12 overall record and 2-5 in the SEC.
Auburn got the early lead, but did not keep it for long as the Bulldogs ended the first half with an 8-0 run, giving them a 26-22 lead.
The Tigers would keep the game close for most of the game, but poor shooting allowed a struggling Georgia team to pull ahead at the end and hold on for the victory.
Frankie Sullivan with 13 points and Chris Denson 12 points would lead Auburn in scoring, but as a team Auburn shot 28.3 percent from the field, making only 20 percent of its 3-pointers and 55.6 percent of its free throws.
Auburn will go on the road Saturday, Feb. 2 to face a ranked Missouri team on Saturday night.
