Public Safety sent out an email at approximately 8:13 p.m. stating it received an anonymous call that could have been taken as a threat to the University.
Public Safety also stated in the email the threat does not appear to be credible, but students may see an increased police presence tonight.
Auburn Police Division will send officers to patrol the campus.
"We are sending this email to ask that each of you be vigilant and report anything suspicious to Auburn Police at (334) 501-3100 or dial 911," stated the email.
