Auburn’s men’s tennis team traveled to College Station, Texas, on Friday, April 3, to play the highly ranked Texas A&M Aggies.

The Tigers played strongly, but fell 4-0 in their third top ten match-up of the season.

Auburn fell in doubles despite winning on court one. Senior Lukas Ollert and junior Marko Krickovic beat the Aggies number one pair 6-0.

On court two, sophomore Maxime Hinnisdaels and junior Joseph Van Dooren lost 6-4.

The third court doubles match up went 6-3 in favor of the Aggies as well. Sophomores Oliver Plaskett and Petar Tomic rounded out the Tigers doubles rotation on court three.

In singles, the Tigers lost on courts two, three, and five. Krickovic lost 6-2 6-4 on court two while Hinnisdaels lost 6-3 6-2 on court three.

Van Dooren was the final loss for the Tigers as Texas A&M’s A.J. Catanzariti won 6-3 6-3.

This latest loss by the Tigers is the second in a row, but their next match against LSU is set to be in Auburn. The Tigers’ two conference wins both came at home.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, April 5, and with only three matches left before SEC Championships, a win would go a long way towards preparing the team for a possible tournament push.
