Two more former Tigers will be participating in NBA Summer League play after it was announced All-SEC guard KT Harrell will play with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Guard Antoine Mason will join the Orlando Magic and forward Kenny Gabriel will begin play with the Miami Heat.

Mason and Gabriel will both play Saturday in the Orlando Pro Summer League beginning with the Heat facing the Indiana Pacers at 8 a.m., followed by the Magic against the Detroit Pistons at 10 a.m. at the Magic practice court at Amway Center.

Harrell won’t begin in the 24-team Las Vegas Summer League until July 11. Both the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion are the venues for Vegas.

Mason’s Orlando White squad plays its second game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, July 8 at noon, followed by the Brooklyn Nets Thursday, July 9 at 2 p.m. Gabriel and the Heat play their second game Sunday, June 12 vs. the Brooklyn Nets at 4 p.m. followed by the Detroit Pistons on Monday, June 13 at 4 p.m. and the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, June 15 at 4 pm.

“I’m excited to play with the Magic in the NBA Summer League, and want make my name from there,” Mason said. “I know I can play. All I need is just an opportunity to show it. The main concern was my height, and I know, once I’m on the court, they’ll see what I proved all through college, that it doesn’t matter about height. If you can play, you can play.”

The championship day for the Orlando Pro Summer League includes five games on July 10.

Gabriel and the Heat open Vegas action against the Utah Jazz on July 11 at 9:30 p.m., followed by the Denver Nuggets on July 13 at 7 p.m. and the Boston Celtics on July 14 at 6 p.m.

The Vegas Summer League playoffs begin on July 15 with all 24 teams, culminating with the championship on July 20.

“I’m proud of Antoine Mason, who will be playing with Orlando and who worked out for my friend, Ernie Grunfeld, with the Washington Wizards,” Coach Bruce Pearl said. “KT and Antoine are still my responsibility. I’m still going to be involved with trying to help them pursue their dreams of playing professionally.

Mason averaged 14.4 ppg and shot 40.2 percent from 3-point range for Auburn last season after ranking second in the NCAA averaging 25.6 ppg at Niagara in 2013-14. The Queens, N.Y., native finished his four-year career with 2,308 points.

“Antoine Mason is a tough cover. He is really hard to keep in front of without fouling him. He goes to the foul line a ton. We have expanded his range. He has improved defensively. At 6-foot-1, he has to be able to guard even more effectively to be able to play in the NBA."

Gabriel, a three-year letterman from 2010-12, recorded the only triple-double in Auburn history with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks vs. Bethune-Cookman in 2012. The Charlotte, North Carolina, native finished his Auburn career with 956 points while averaging 12.2 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game and 2.3 blocks as a senior.e

Gabriel helped Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir to its first Turkish Basketball League title in 28 years two weeks ago.

All games are available on NBATV and are streamed on NBA.com.
