The Preseason Coaches All-SEC Teams were announced Tuesday afternoon, and nine Auburn players were named to the first, second and third teams, tied for the second-most in the conference.
The Tigers were represented on the first team by senior cornerback Jonathan Jones, who will be tasked with anchoring a thin secondary in defensive coordinator Will Muschamp's first year back on the Plains.
Auburn placed two on the second team: receiver D'haquille "Duke" Williams and defensive tackle Montravius Adams.
Tigers on the third team included guards Alex Kozan and Devonte Danzey, who are battling for a starting spot, quarterback Jeremy Johnson, defensive end Carl Lawson, linebacker Cassanova McKinzy and safety Jonathan "Rudy" Ford.
Auburn's nine players equaled Georgia's, and only trailed the 10 players each selected from LSU and Alabama.
