Montgomery man arrested in Auburn for automobile burglaries

A Montgomery man was arrested Monday, Nov. 30, on warrants for unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and second degree theft of property.

Alvin L. Wright, 33, was arrested by officers of the Auburn Police Division, according to a press release by the APD.

Wright was arrested following an incident on the 200 block of Bragg Avenue on Nov. 28. Wright is accused of stealing electronics and a firearm from a vehicle and attempting to enter another vehicle near West Glenn Avenue and Hemlock Drive.

Several more burglaries were discovered in the same area by APD officers and stolen property was found in Wright's vehicle.

Wright is facing additional misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and attempting to elude.

The APD is investigating several other automobile burglaries spread around the city.

Wright is being held at the Lee County Jail on a $9,500 bond.
