Roc Thomas' time at Auburn has come to an end.
Auburn announced the former five-star recruit was granted his release from the program and plans to transfer.
"Roc Thomas has asked for his release from Auburn and I have granted his request," Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said in a statement on Tuesday. "We wish him nothing but the best moving forward."
In two seasons at Auburn, Thomas rushed for 475 yards and three touchdowns in 19 games. He also caught 17 passes for 227 yards and a score.
Though Thomas has yet to announce his transfer destination, Jacksonville State is reportedly a potential landing spot.
Thomas' girlfriend is a student there, and his high school coach at Oxford High School, John Grass, now coaches the Gamecocks.
