Biology department holding clownfish sale

The marine symbiosis research laboratory in the Department of Biological Sciences is holding a sale of live ornamental clownfish, according to the University's website.

Anemonefish are captively bred in aquariums at Auburn’s Marine Ecology lab and are being sold as breeding pairs along with their host sea anemone.

"Captive-raised fish and anemones are hardy by nature and can be easily kept in most saltwater aquariums," the website states.

Three pairs are available for $140, which includes two fish and their home sea anemone.

All proceeds go to the University's anemonefish culture program.
