Krispy Kreme on Opelika Road will open Tuesday, May 10, said City Manager Charlie Duggan.
The grand opening will begin at 6 a.m. and the first 100 guests through the door will win free doughnuts for one year, according to Krispy Kreme's Facebook event page.
"The first guest through the door receives a punch card for one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts each week for one year," the details state. "The next 99 guests through the door will receive a punch card for one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts each month for one year. First 100 guests in line will receive a free commemorative T-shirt."
Registration for the prizes begins at 4 p.m. Monday, May 9, according to the details. Registrants must remain in line and on the property from the time of registration until the shop opens at 6 a.m. to claim their prize.
Guests planning to camp out to ensure their place in line are invited for "fun and surprises" in the parking lot Monday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Guests must be 10 years old or older to receive door prizes and door prizes exclude drive-thru guests.
