An Auburn woman was arrested Tuesday, May 3, and charged with second-degree sodomy and second-degree sexual abuse, according to a news release issued by the Auburn Police Division.
Vaudie L. Gray, 45, was arrested after an APD investigation into a Feb. 2 complaint of sodomy and sexual abuse at a residence on Foster Street. APD and the Lee County Department of Human Resources investigated after being notified that a juvenile had been sexually abused at the residence, according to the release.
The victim knew Gray, who had abused the victim over a two-year period, according to the release. Gray was taken into custody after turning herself in to police, according to the release.
Gray was taken to the Lee County Jail and is being held on an $11,000 bond.
