Auburn woman arrested for credit card fraud

An Auburn woman was arrested on felony warrants charging her with identity theft and credit card fraud.

Lauren Batchelor, 30, from Auburn was arrested Wednesday, June 22, 2016, as a result of an investigation by the Auburn Police Division into a report of fraudulent credit card use, according to a police press release.

The police report was made back in January of this year. The victim reported that someone illegally obtained her credit card and other person information and used it to make an online purchase of more than $6,000.

Batchelor was working at a local business where the victim had used her credit card prior to the theft.

She is now being held in the Lee County Jail. Her bond was set at $5,500.
