The Auburn University Bass Fishing Team is sending three teams to Carhartt College Bass Nationals to compete with 90 other teams around the U.S., according to the team's Facebook page and Track 'Em Tigers.
The two-person team that catches the winning weight will be awarded the 2016 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship trophy and will advance to the 2016 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Classic Bracket with the second, third and fourth-place teams.
The last team standing will compete in the 2017 GEICO Bassmaster Classic on Texas’ Lake Conroe, March 24-26, 2017.
The tournament will kick off Thursday, July 28 on Kentucky's Green River Lake.
