Six Tigers voted to preseason All-SEC team

The 2016 SEC Media Days concluded in Hoover, Alabama on Thursday with over 300 media members in attendance. Each year, participating media are asking to vote for a preseason All-SEC team and predicted order of finish. Thursday, media selected Tennessee to win the East and Alabama to win the West as well as the SEC Championship.

The preseason Media Days All-SEC Team was released by the conference office on Friday. The 331 voters selected six Tigers to the team, totaling 943 votes for Auburn.

The Outland Trophy watchlist member has started 27 games for Auburn, redshirting his freshman year and missing 2014 with a back injury. Running back Jovon Robinson and lineman Braden Smith made the offensive third-team with 55 and 118 votes, respectively.

Carl Lawson earned a spot on the first-team defense 253 votes. The lineman was one of three Tigers to represent Auburn at Media Days along side head coach Gus Malzahn.
