Police arrest Auburn man on vehicle burglary charges

The Auburn Police Division arrested an Auburn man on Monday on charges related to a January vehicle burglary.

Police arrested David W. White, 32, on warrants charging him with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, third-degree theft of property and two counts of fraudulent credit card use, police said.

The arrest was the result of a vehicle burglary on Jan. 6 in the 100 block of Maple Street. The victim said someone broke into their 2008 Pontiac G6 and stole credit cards and electronics valued at over $500.

Video surveillance captured White using the stolen credit cards at two businesses on North Dean Road, police said. The Opelika Police Division took him into custody at an Opelika business and was then taken to the APD.

He is being held at the Lee County Jail on an $8,000 bond.
