Gov. Ivey to tour Auburn businesses, schools Tuesday

Gov. Kay Ivey plans to tour the Auburn area Tuesday, visiting schools, a local manufacturing facility and sitting down for a round-table discussion later in the afternoon.

The trip is part of Ivey's Listen, Learn, Help & Lead tour. She previously visited Jasper and Dothan.

Ivey will be in Auburn beginning early at 8 a.m. Tuesday where she will meet and greet with teachers at Ogletree Elementary. Following remarks at Ogletree, Ivey will tour the GE Aviation manufacturing facility at the Auburn Technology Park.

The governor will then tour the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Auburn University Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy. Before lunch, she will tour the new Auburn High School, which was just recently finished on East Samford Avenue.

After lunch, Ivey will participate in a round-table discussion at the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
