Auburn will be making minor history in 2020, as the Tigers will face off against UMass at Jordan-Hare, announced by the two schools Thursday morning. The meeting will be the first ever between the Tigers and the Minutemen.
UMass compiled a lowly 2-10 record last season in the Mid-American Conference, including losses to a trio of familiar faces: SEC opponents Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina. Tennessee and Mississippi State will play the Minutemen in 2017, while Georgia lies in wait in 2018.
The Tigers now have one more non-conference spot to fill in 2020, as the team is also set to host Southern Miss and Alabama A&M. The 2020 SEC slate for Auburn features road games against Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State and Ole Miss and home contests against Texas A&M, LSU, Arkansas and Kentucky.
