UPDATE: General Lee truck closed for inspection

The General Lee Hibachi Truck on campus will be closed for the day due to a "minor concern," according to Bill Sallustro, resident district manager of Chartwells.

"We had a minor concern and thought it would be best to proceeded with an abundance of caution and have the truck 'checked-up.'" Sallustro said. "The Hibachi Truck will be open and ready for business tomorrow morning. If we have any service issues with our food truck vendors, we will not have them servicing the campus. We take the health and safety of our guests seriously."

According to an official at Tiger Dining everything during the first inspection looked clean, but in order to be thorough General Lee won't be operating today and the truck will undergo "deep cleaning" to ensure no bugs are living anywhere in the truck.

"If there were problems with the hibachi truck, it wouldn't be here," Director of Campus Dining Glenn Loughridge said. "It will be back open tomorrow."

Loughridge encouraged students there was nothing to worry about.
