Former White House cabinet member and four-star general, Barry McCaffrey, was scheduled to lecture at Auburn University's Harbert College of Business on Monday, Sept. 11 but due to travel complications and the arrival of Hurricane Irma, the event has since been postponed.
The decorated military man and business man was scheduled to talk to attendees about leadership as the Raymond J. Harbert College celebrated its 50 year anniversary. However, since the event is now postponed, a later date will have to be found for McCaffrey's lecture, something Auburn University is now actively working on.
Herbert College of Business dean, Bill Hardgrave expressed his excitement and importance surrounding McCaffrey's speech and the Business colleges goal to bring in "globally recognized thought leaders" in order to fulfill the goal of becoming an "elite public college of business" however, that goal will now have to wait for a later date.
