Rewinding Auburn's 44-23 win over Ole Miss

After a definitive win against No. 24 Mississippi State, Auburn returns to Jordan-Hare Stadium for an early 11 a.m. matchup against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss travels onto The Plains after a 66-3 loss at No. 1 Alabama. The Rebels rank first in the SEC in passing offense with quarterback Shea Patterson, but they rank last in rushing.

Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham has impressed his last three games while completing 83.4 percent of his passes. 

Auburn has outscored their last three opponents 114-34 while being the only team in the FBS to hold all five of their opponents to 14 points or less.

Q3 2:00— Jamal Dean exits with an injury. Travion Leonard replaces him. Javaris Davis has not played a snap today.

Q3 5:25— Left Guard Mike Horton injured on a first down run by Kerryon Johnson. Horton has started every game at left guard for the Tigers this season. 

Q3 6:10— Johnson gets 20 yards and a first down on a screen pass from Stidham. Interesting decision by Gus Malzahn to leave him in with the Tigers up 38-10.

Q3 7:30— Stidham showing his athleticism. Breaks a tackle, rolls right, and finds Nate Craig-Myers for a first down.

Q3 9:08— Patterson's pass broken up by Carlton Davis and the Auburn defense forces another 3 and out. 

Q3 9:46— Stidham just overthrows Darius Slayton on 3rd and 6. Auburn forced to punt for just the second time today. 

Q3 11:07— Ole Miss finally gets into the end zone on an eight yard touchdown pass from Patterson to EK Metkalf. Touchdown drive 9 plays 75 yards. Auburn 38, Ole Miss 10. 

Q3 14:00— Auburn can't capitalize on the big return as the offense goes 3 and out. Carlson field goal good from 49. Auburn 38, Ole Miss 3. 

Q3 14:48— Noah Igbinoghene returns the kickoff all the way to the Ole Miss 30. Auburn in business to start the second half.

Q2 1:37— Stidham evades the rush and finds Darius Slayton for 20 yards on a deep comeback route. 1st and 10 from Ole Miss 48. 

Q2 2:21— Auburn defense gets the stop on 3rd and 9. Ole Miss punts and Auburn takes over at their own 10. Tigers have all three of their timeouts. 

Q2 4:38— D'Vaughn Pennamon gains three yards and converts on 4th and 2. Now have 2nd and 7 from midfield.

Q2 6:02— Patterson finds AJ Brown on the out route and Ole Miss converts on 3rd and 9. Brown has been the lone bright spot for Ole Miss. 6 receptions for 46 yards, tough to cover. 

Q2 6:38— Johnson takes a toss play five yards for another touchdown. His third of the day. Johnson has a career-high 158 yards on 16 carries this afternoon. Touchdown drive 74 yards in 6 plays. Auburn 35, Ole Miss 3. 

Q2 7:00— Johnson breaks a couple of tackles and has the first down. Auburn 1st and goal from the 10. 

Q2 8:20— Stidham finds Kyle Davis on a crossing route. Davis hurdles a defender and is down to the Ole Miss 38. 

Q2 9:05— Patterson finds Van Jefferson but he is short of the first down. Holding penalty on Ole Miss declined. Auburn takes over at their own 26. Auburn 28, Ole Miss 3.

Q2 9:08— Patterson's pass broken up by Stephen Roberts on 3rd and 6. Ole Miss set to go for it on fourth down.

Q2 9:30— Patterson finds Jordan Wilkins for 19 yards. 1st and 10 Ole Miss from Auburn 33. 

Q2 12:24— Johnson straight up the middle untouched for a 48 yard touchdown. Auburn 28, Ole Miss 3.

Q2 13:15— Stidham is sacked for a loss of 6. 2nd and 16. 

Q2 13:42— A.J Moore has been ejected for targeting. Hit Stephen Roberts helmet-to-helmet on the punt return.
