The Auburn Wheelchair Basketball team has been named Team of the Month for October by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.
The team ended the month with a record of 3-1 and won the Championship of the 2nd Annual Halloween Hoops Bash. The Championship was held on campus at the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum the weekend of Oct. 28 and 29.
Auburn University is one of ten colleges across the country to have a wheelchair basketball team. Their season runs from October to mid-March and the team plays two home tournaments a season, one per semester. All games are free of charge and are played in the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The next chance to see the Auburn Wheelchair Basketball Team at home is Jan. 26 and 27 when they host the University of Alabama and the University of Missouri.
