After a long stretch of summer heat, Auburn is finally getting some cool, fall weather. Chilly temperatures may seem like a signal to pack away those short sleeves and miniskirts, but it’s actually really easy to incorporate your favorite summer outfits into your fall wardrobe.
Layers
The key to making these pieces work from summer to fall is layering. Especially in Auburn, the
If you’re wanting to wear your favorite tank top or short sleeve t-shirt on a fall day, just wear a jacket, cardigan, flannel or blazer over it for the perfect fall look. For really chilly days, add a scarf. Pair it all with your favorite jeans and accessories, and this look is fall ready.
Over-the-knee boots
For a night out, you can wear your favorite mini dress with a pair of over-the-knee boots to keep your legs warm while still looking fashion forward. Over-the-knee boots are a big fall trend this year, and they’re a great statement piece that completely changes an outfit.

You can pair this with a cropped sweater and ankle boots for an easy, trendy outfit.
Tights also look great with ripped jeans. Seeing the patterns of the tights through the rips gives some great texture to an outfit while keeping your legs warm. Experiment with colored fishnet tights under jeans to spice up your look. The bold colors won’t be too overwhelming because they’ll mostly be covered by your jeans. Pair the jeans with your summer cropped or a tied up T-
