At around 2 p.m. on Thursday, three men armed with firearms entered Troy Bank & Trust on Frederick Road in Opelika, down the street from the Tiger Town shopping center, and demanded money from the bank's workers.
According to a release from the Opelika Police Department, no one was injured during the robbery and the suspects fled with cash.
Police said the three suspects, all described as black men wearing dark-colored clothing, left in a silver Mercedes traveling west, away from Tiger Town, down Frederick Road. Two of the three men had their faces covered.
Opelika police have asked that anyone that may have information regarding the bank robbery contact their Investigative Services Division at 334-705-5220 or call their secret witness hotline at 334-745-8665.
