The Auburn Police Division is searching for a man who is believed to be responsible for several graffiti drawings in the downtown area
Police officers were called Monday and given several reports of criminal mischief. The reports, according to the police, said graffiti had been drawn over different buildings and structures in downtown.
The graffiti caused property damage and required city workers and businesses to spend time and money removing them or covering them up.
Video surveillance in the area captured the man believed to be responsible for the drawings, police said. He's been described by authorities and surveillance video as a white male with dark hair, white t-shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the case can call the police at 334-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391.
Criminal mischief in the third-degree can result in a fine of several hundred dollars and jail time.
