It's official: E.J. Montgomery is taking his talents to Lexington.
The five-star power forward posted a picture to his Instagram on Thursday of him and his family decked out in University of Kentucky gear appearing to sign his letter of intent with the school.
The Marietta, Georgia, native committed to Auburn in 2016 but decommitted in September after then-Auburn assistant coach Chuck Person was arrested in the FBI sting that shocked the college basketball world.
Montgomery is one of the top talents in the 2018 recruiting class, with a 247 Sports aggregate ranking listing him as the No. 9 overall prospect and the best power forward in the nation.
He joins two other five-star commits in Kentucky's 2018 class. The Wildcats have compiled the second-best recruiting class thus far, according to 247.
Montgomery's decision has left a huge hole in this year's recruitment for Auburn, and the Tigers have yet to find a replacement for the 6-foot-10-inch talent, with no other class of 2018 prospects committed to the University.
