Although Cook-Out has only been on The Plains for less than a semester, it has quickly become the restaurant with the best late-night food in Auburn for many reasons.
The Cook-Out tray gives you the best bang for your buck, which is the top priority of just about any college student still up during the early morning hours. You can get an entrée, two sides and a drink for half of what one meal costs at other restaurants.
And these so-called sides can hardly be called that. A chicken wrap, quesadilla or corndog would be the entrée at most places, but not at Cook-Out.
We can’t explain why Cook-Out is the best option for late-night food without mentioning the milkshakes. Even though it sometimes takes a spoon to get through, the milkshakes at Cook-Out are a great complement to a 2 a.m. food run.
With such a large amount of food at such a cheap price, it is no surprise that the drive-thru line is backed up as the night turns to morning.
