With fall classes beginning in a mere two weeks, Auburn is preparing to get back into the full swing of things, and, to the relief of many caffeine-driven students, so are the city’s coffee shops.
Ross House, on North Ross Street, has had summer hours of 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, in the fall, the coffee house’s doors will be open until 11 p.m.
The Bean, on South Gay Street, opens at 7 a.m., and after next week, will be extending its hours until 11 p.m.
Mama Mocha’s, also on South Gay Street, has been open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on business days during the summer but yesterday pushed its closing time to 8 p.m. for the fall.
Coffee Cat, on Tichenor Avenue, has also been open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer. During the school year, though, Coffee Cat will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
World Cup Coffee, on South College Street, is now open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the fall, the shop is planning on serving customers from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., but management is considering pushing the fall closing time to later in the evening.
Starbucks on South College Street did not have an adjusted summer schedule. The coffee franchise’s hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
