The Tigers and Vandals last faced off in 1999, a game Auburn won 30-23. The Vandals scored all 23 of their points in the fourth quarter only to be held off by a Rusty Williams 11-yard run with eight minutes remaining in the game. The Tigers lead the series 15-0-1 overall against WAC opponents.
The Vandals also have deals signed with other SEC schools such as LSU, Ole Miss and Florida in 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively.
