Ignite Auburn will host “Kick Butts Day” Thursday, April 24, at Hickory Dickory Park in Auburn. There will be numerous games and activities, appearances by Auburn “celebritie” and food. Mix 96.7 will broadcast live from the event. “Kick Butts Day” is a national event designed to educate children of the harmful consequences of using tobacco products. Auburn University Singers will present their annual Spring Show at Telfair Peet Theatre. The show will be Sat, April 26 at 3:30 p.m.; Sun, April 27 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Thurs, April 29 at 5:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. The group is under the direction of Dale Farmer. just a few of the songs to be performed include “Eye of the Tiger,” “Knock on Wood,” “Sun and Moon” from “Miss Saigon,” and a medley of ‘50s tunes and current Broadway show tunes. Individual and small group talent will also be showcased through a variety of contemporary styles. This year marks the group’s 36th anniversary. Students can purchase tickets for $7 with a Tigercard, and general admission tickets are $10.
