Robert L. McFarland Associate Professor of Law at Faulkner University will speak on the legalities and consequences of the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of March 23, 2010” and the “Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of March 30, 2010” in Chappy’s Deli meeting room located at 754 E. Glenn Avenue at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21st. The “Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of March 30, 2010” will be a Constitutional Amendment referendum on the November 6 general ballot. Robert McFarland received his B.A. from Oklahoma Christian University of Arts and Sciences and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. While at Pepperdine, Professor McFarland was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and received numerous trial and appellate advocacy awards. Prior to joining the faculty at Faulkner University in 2004, Professor McFarland served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Edith H. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. At Faulkner University Professor McFarland teaches Torts, Remedies, and Federal Courts and is the author of numerous publications.
