If you would listen to what I said you will see that that was at the airport and of course today is a new day. I supported coach Chizik and I will support the Gus Bus because they are Auburn men of faith. Some of you need a refresher on the BARFIELD days. Jay Jacobs won me a national championship if you do remember

Callie don't worry about these commenters. I was at the Plainsman when I was at Auburn and got yelled at once by Shug Jordan himself for eating a sandwich during his press conference. That didn't stop me and today I still use my journalism skills from my time at Auburn through free-lance writing and my annual Roy Burns Christmas Letter. I think this could be the beginning of a huge story and you should keep investigating! Between Mama Mocha and Mama GOldberg I think this city has some hot "mamas" that shouldn't be messed with!! But the fifth word should be "seriously" and not "serious." WDE -Roy

Judging from the state of politics today, she will make a perfect politician! She has a wonderful career ahead of her.

Very nice article. It is nice to hear Col. Moore is doing well, all things considered, in spite of the loss of his beloved wife, Mrs. Julia Compton Moore. We are living in such fast moving and transitioning times, where it appears socially and politically things are spinning out of control. Too Big To Fail, Too Big To Manage, Too Big To Procecute, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, Drone attacks upon American citizens directed by POTUS with no other due process or other controlling authority. I wish not to interject politics in an article devoid of same and about such a great American, but it seems America is in the midst of a real assault from within, I think of words I read that we're attributed to Col. Moore in the midst of battle: Three strikes and you're NOT out! "When there is nothing wrong - there's nothing wrong except - THERE'S NOTHING WRONG! "What am I doing that I SHOULD NOT be doing, and what am I not doing that I SHOULD BE DOING to influence the situation in my favor? TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS We so need a leader wired like Col. Moore to help us survive as the country I remember growing up in. God Bless You Col. Moore

I am tired of the Spades influencing Auburn University SGA elections. They need to be exposed. For too long these 10 seniors have had to much power causing corruption on Auburns campus. Do not let them win. #Check for Chelsea!

Just a few points for Callie: - LOL - Your friends are not Rosa Parks. Their Civil Rights were not infringed upon. Now, you're calling for the boycotting of a SMALL BUSINESS? - You have a huge misconception of what "free wifi" is. Someone has to pay for it. - I've never thought paying on an iPad is at all awkward. - You say, gone are the days when you can spend an entire afternoon catching up with a friend at a coffee shop. I'm sorry, but that was never a thing. Maybe at Starbucks, but not at a small business like Gnu's. I've always understood that there's an unofficial 2 hour limit. Callie, in the future, I would encourage you to pick your writing topics more carefully. Don't let your friends use you like this because they got their feelings hurt. Write about things that matter.

Due to the overwhelming amount of comments on this site as well as Facebook, I think it just proves how outrageous and unnecessary this article was. Both the Gnu's Room AND Mama Mocha's are truly a gift to this community, and the fact that anyone would try and tarnish their name or reputation makes my blood boil. It's a shame that none of these comments will ever make it to print in the actual Plainsmen, and therefore may not be seen by many members of the student body and staff that read the article, however, we can all do our best to undo the negative effects caused by this garbage-of-an-opinion piece. From working on the remodel of Mama Mocha's to my wife and I playing at the Gnu's Room, I feel I have a personal connection with the two entities (as I'm sure most people writing do), and in turn I find this article very offensive. I can't imagine pouring your heart, soul, time and finances into a business just to have someone falsify it in print, and call it an "opinion" piece so they don't have to be responsible for any repercussions. In working for WEGL (ironically right across the hall from the Plainsmen) we will continue to do all we can with our resources to promote The Gnu's Room and Mama Mocha's (such as airing PSA's, putting on fundraisers, etc), and if anyone has ideas of how we can further promote them please feel free to email me at zissou24@gmail.com

Great article! Shouldn't JJ be held to the same standards he has held the coaches he has fired to? Of course! The time is way past due to get a competant, group of professionals running the athletic department. They all must go! Tim Jackson, Rich McGlynn, Meredith Jenkins, ALL MUST GO!
