As a Professional Relationship and Dating Coach ALL my women have the problem that men just don;t measure up anymore, but maybe we need to redefine what a 'man's' role is. The truth is that YES women are opening more businesses, graduating from grad schools at a higher rate, testing with higher IQ scores for the first time in history. Many men today are acting like boys. It's often called Peter Pan Syndrome. I get into this in much more depth on my website htto://www.DateMenNotBoys.com Overall I agree with Hanna's book "The End of Men" that women are on the rise, but I DO NOT agree that it is as hopeless for men as she makes it sound. It is NOT the end of men. We are just learning who and how to be in this post-feminist world and are adapting. There ARE men out there. The key is knowing how to find them, as I explain at http://www.DateMenNotBoys.com Barry Paul Price

Funny that you say youre fed up with losses but you will settle for anyone less than Bobby Petrino. Its time for the Auburn family to stop being content with hiring mediocre head coaches and finally hire a big name that has been proven in the college ranks. Petrino is far and away the most qualified, proven candidate out there and anyone who doesn't see that just doesn't follow college football that closely. He is notorious for being a tough disciplinarian...something this team desperately needs right now. Its time for Auburn to not care what everyone else thinks for once and hire a winner. Regardless of Petrinos, off the field history, he has a history of winning on the field, and thats all that should matter. The football program is too important to this city and university to risk another subpar "nice guy" hire. Businesses downtown have been hurting because of the lack of interest in our terrible excuse for a football team. So unless you want to be back in the same spot in 3-4 years and watch auburn fall into the depths of mediocrity in the SEC, lets all get off our high horses and hire a real head football coach in Bobby Petrino.

Neither Obama or Romney are going to reduce our debt or address global warming. Both will increase the wars. Only Gary Johnson will audit the FED and make a move to end the Ponzi scheme our government is caught in. Johnson will repeal the Patriot Act and NDAA, fix the FDA and USDA. His plan to reduce military spending by 43% by ending military interventions, bringing our people home and closing overseas bases, to change green cards into work visas, to end the prohibition on Marijuana and even his version of the Fair Tax is compelling. Johnson has supported himself since he was 17, putting himself through college, starting a door to door handyman service that grew to employ over 1,000. When he sold that business, no one lost their job. During his two terms as Governor of New Mexico he cut taxes multiple times, vetoed 750 bills and used his line item veto thousands of times. When he finished his second term the state budget was balanced and there was a billion dollar surplus. We voted early for Gary Johnson.

Sorry to read about the passing of Coach Chizik's mother. Losing a family member is always tough, during a grueling football season that is already so busy you do not get to see your family makes it even worse. Prayers lifted for you and your family Coach. As far as the season goes, remember it is not how you start, it is how you finish. Finish STRONG War Eagle!

This editorial is embarrassing. Your opening sentence isn't grammatically correct and shows either lack of basic English skills or just a lack of attention to detail. I can't believe that this is even a legitimate article! Please, tell me this was a joke that was inadvertently published! I understand that Auburn has no Journalism school, but I certainly remember taking English comp as a student at Auburn. My alma mater is an institution of higher leaning, not a football fan club. In your duty as journalists, you have neglected the truth of the matter - Gene Chizik is a failure. You have also managed to take away from the points that you may have made by communicating like a grade school student. Show some respect for Auburn and the Plainsman and at the very least get ALL IN with grammar check. In a time when you can publish an ezine article from your perch at SkyBar, you could certainly run a grammar check from your mobile device. Hand your head in shame. You deserve it.
