LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Racism - a festering disease

Just in the past year, America has seen events such as the Ferguson riots, controversy over the Washington Redskins franchise name, drunken fraternity brothers singing obscenities on a bus and many more incidents. It’s time we put an end to an era of racial tension so the nation can move into a new era of cultural prosperity.
