Ben Harper is scheduled to perform April 29, in the Coliseum as UPC’s major entertainment for this semester.
Tickets will be distributed to Auburn students the week before the show to the left of the Student Center entrance facing the Haley Center. Tickets will be free for students and the first 750 to arrive at the Coliseum will get floor seats.
“We are working on getting some student ID scanners instead of computers, but for now that is just a work in progress,” McCollister said.
McCollister said Harper and his new band, The Relentless Seven, cost roughly $100,000 out of the major entertainment budget, which received more funding last semester based on the success of the OAR concert.
McCollister said UPC chose to have the concert the day before dead day to make it more available to students.
“I think Auburn will be ecstatic to have a talent like Ben Harper,” McCollister said.
