As your Dean of Students, I look forward to working with you to enhance your college experience at Auburn University.
This is an exciting time for the Office of the Dean of Students. The new student center is planned to open next fall, new housing is currently planned for the western side of campus and there are many exciting programs and events that have been planned to enhance your experience this academic year.
I hope that you will take advantage of these and many other programs that are designed to help you with your overall development, as well as add to your experience while you are a student here at Auburn.
You don’t have to fit in any certain category to get involved at Auburn—just have “a spirit that is not afraid.”
In my capacity as Dean of Students, I serve our students in at least two ways: one, as your ambassador and liaison to the central administration to represent you and advocate for you on many issues that concern and affect students.
In my other role, I work for you and with you to successfully develop as well rounded and well balanced young adults.
In addition to promoting responsibility and the development of students, our office responds to emergency and crisis situations that affect students, and we represent the University to various internal and external constituencies.
Fall semester on a college campus is one of the most exciting places to be, and there is no place like fall semester at Auburn.
It is an opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and develop new perspectives on a number of issues.
In the Dean of Students Office, we value our students, and we work very hard to provide a variety of services, programs and opportunities that meet all our students’ needs.
I invite you to come by and visit with me and tell me what’s on your mind.
I am always interested in your ideas and suggestions on how we can better help support members of the Auburn Family. Welcome to Auburn. War Eagle.
