The Auburn Tigers picked up their first SEC win on Saturday, defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 27-13 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Head coach Hugh Freeze picked up his first SEC win in his tenure at Auburn, and the Tigers move to 4-4 on the season with four games left to play.

After four conference losses prior to Saturday, including two that were decided by seven points, head coach Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers finally claimed their first SEC win of the season. Quarterback Payton Thorne starred with 268 total yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Mississippi State at home 27-13.

After a tie versus Georgia, Auburn will head to Pensacola, Florida, to take on Tennessee in the first round of the SEC Tournament. Tennessee is coming off a 1-0 win versus Vanderbilt and is seeded ninth in the SEC. The two will play each other at 3:30 CST on Sunday, Oct. 29th, with the winner advancing to play No. 1 seed Arkansas on Tuesday.

After falling behind two sets to none, the Auburn volleyball team beat the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, Georgia, in a thrilling comeback victory. The No. 24 Tigers won the match in five sets (22-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-11), taking each of the last three sets. This victory marked Auburn's first reverse sweep of the season.
