In a Friday night showdown with a No. 3 Florida team that had already earned a share of the SEC title, Auburn gymnastics set a new program record with a 198.575 score to match the Gators in a tie. Needing a win to split the title, Auburn finished its regular season 6-1-1 in the SEC without a championship but in excellent position going into their postseason.

Suni Lee’s first appearance in Auburn Arena was an energetic return to full capacity and a tone-setter for the team’s season on Friday. The preview meet was essentially a scrimmage, where the team splits into halves, forming one team of orange and one of blue. No scores were kept, which kept the tone of the night light.
