Auburn knew a matchup with the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs wouldn’t be easy, especially for a team that has had offensive struggles throughout the year. The game was predicted to be a defensive showdown and if you’re a fan of old-fashioned football, you likely weren’t disappointed.

In a performance that saw Auburn put up 507 yards of total offense, the Tigers showed that the offense could regroup following the loss at LSU. It was far from perfect though as Auburn managed to just put up 20 points on the scoreboard.

BATON ROUGE, La. - Heading into halftime, No. 9 Auburn was tied up with No. 2 LSU at 10-10. Auburn led the game twice by getting the first field goal of the day to take a 3-0 lead and answering an LSU touchdown with one of its own to take a 10-7 lead. LSU tied it up with 33 seconds left in the half. LSU scored 13 more in the second and Auburn scored 10 more. LSU won the game 23-20.
No. 9 Auburn heads to Baton Rouge this weekend looking to end a 20-year losing streak in Death Valley against No. 2 LSU. LSU leads the all-time series against Auburn by a margin of 30-22-1.
