Ulyses Rosa, 34, was arrested by Auburn police for electronic solicitation of a child and second-degree sodomy of a 14-year-old girl on Thursday, according to a release from the Auburn Police Division.
Police were called Wednesday night to an apartment on Opelika Road where they say they determined Rosa was engaged in a sexual relationship with his 14-year-old neighbor.
Police said their investigation revealed Rosa sent multiple sexually explicit text messages to the victim and coerced her into performing sexual acts within the last week. Her mother discovered the messages on the victim's phone.
Rosa was transported to the Lee County Jail where he is being held on a $40,000. Police said additional charges are expected.
