Tiger cage finished the quarterfinal round on Feb. 9, and eight of the 20 contestants have advanced to the semi-final round taking place on March 2.
Tiger Cage is an annual competition hosted by the Auburn College of Business where teams pitch business ideas. The grand prize winner will earn $25,000, second place $10,000, third place $6,000, fourth place $4,000 and there will also be a $1,000 People’s Choice Award.

“You could tell that they had been practicing their pitches and had been working hard on their competition team ideas and that they were excited about their company,” said Abby Boone, who helps manage the Tiger Cage competition.
Boone said the remaining competitors will continue to research and finalize their ideas in preparation for the next round of competition.
