The NCAA announced on Monday, July 6, that Auburn Basketball is ranked second nationally in Division I average home attendance increase, with a spike of 2,002, its largest in 15 years.

“I want to thank the Auburn Family, students and alumni for their support this past season,” Bruce Pearl said. “Our hope is to match on the court, the phenomenal success in the stands. Our fans were tremendous this year and made the atmosphere at Auburn Arena one of the best in the nation.”

Auburn averaged 7,825 in 17 home games this past year at Auburn Arena, the most since the 2001-02 season.

The top four ranked teams in NCAA Division I average home attendance increase for 2014-15 include North Carolina State at 2795, Auburn at 2002, Virginia at 1972 and Utah at 1790. The other three teams were NCAA Tournament participants.

In Pearl’s first season at Auburn last year, Auburn sold out of season tickets for the first time since 1999-2000.
