3-star defensive back spurns Florida, commits to Auburn's 2019 class

Auburn landed another prospect for the 2019 class Tuesday with the commitment of cornerback Cordale Flott.

Flott is a three-star out of Saraland, Alabama that has captured the attention of coaches throughout the SEC, receiving offers from Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound defensive back took to Twitter to announce his commitment Tuesday morning.

The No. 81 safety in the class (247 Sports) took a visit to Gainesville, Florida over the weekend to meet with Dan Mullen and the Gators. Following the visit, Flott named the SEC East school as his favorite.

A day later, he committed to Kevin Steele's defense on The Plains.

Flott’s commitment is Auburn’s fourth of the 2019 class, with quarterback Bo Nix, wide receiver George Pickens and center Jakai Clark. With Flott's verbal, Auburn moves into the top 30 for 2019 with the No. 29 class.
