The Plainsman's Choice for Best Hangover Food: Waffle House

A more fitting name for Waffle House would be Waffle Home. There is no better remedy to a long night downtown than the warm and satisfying embrace at a Waffle House.

Waffle House is the best restaurant to cure a hangover not just because it has some of the best breakfast food in town, but because it gives you the Southern hospitality of Cracker Barrel minus the social pressure of making yourself look presentable.

You can show up however disheveled last night made you look or smell because, well, it’s Waffle House. You don’t have to pretend like you came from a Sunday morning church service or that you’re headed to your grandparent’s house like you would at other breakfast restaurants.

Of course, the actual food at Waffle House goes a long way to making it the best place to combat a belly emptying itself of liquor. Whether it is the iconic All-Star Breakfast or the 2 Chainz delight of patty melt with the hashbrowns, Waffle House can’t be beat.

So, come any and come all, and by “all,” I mean sobering-up college kids looking to put something in their stomach that isn’t alcohol because Waffle House is the best restaurant for a hangover.
