Coroner identifies double homicide deaths

The shooting, which occurred in the 800 block of North Donahue Drive at about 3:45 a.m., left two men dead and one woman injured

County Coroner Bill Harris has identified victims of a double homicide in Auburn Saturday morning.

The shooting, which occurred in the 800 block of North Donahue Drive at about 3:45 a.m., left two men dead and one woman injured.

One victim, Dominique Oneil Key, of Auburn, was pronounced dead on the scene. He was 36 years old.

A second victim died after being transported to the emergency room at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Trenton Torbert, 24, of Tuskegee, died during emergency surgery from apparent gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains ongoing by the Auburn Police Division and the Lee County Coroner's Office. Police say it is not believed to be a random shooting.
