Miss Auburn candidate Maggie Ricks, junior in accounting and Spanish, believes that Auburn University is not just a school, but a home to everyone who attends. She chose the Creed line, “I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”

Miss Auburn candidate Katie Phelan, junior in marketing, chose honesty and truthfulness to be the central points of her campaign. Phelan committed to this theme wholeheartedly. During the interview process, she said she did not prepare for questions because she wanted to be her most authentic self.

Catherine Bryant, junior in finance and biomedical sciences, is a Miss Auburn candidate who believes in “a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities,” her chosen line from the Auburn Creed, so much so that she is campaigning on these values.

Sasha Cohen, junior in architecture, is using her Miss Auburn platform to ask her fellow students to look within to create a more authentic student body. Her platform is rooted in the Auburn Creed line, “I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.”

Miss Auburn is a representative of the people of Auburn, so Megan Ondrizek, junior in communication disorders, chose to focus her platform on the Auburn Family. To represent this, she chose the sixth line of the Auburn Creed: “I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.”
