Tigers Nick Coe and Big Kat Bryant were named to the Freshman All-SEC Team on Thursday. The team was voted on by SEC coaches.
Coe, a redshirt freshman, played in all 13 games on the defensive line. He had 29 tackles which included 4.5 for loss. He also recorded two sacks and six quarterback hurries. On two different occasions, he earned SEC defensive lineman of the week honors.
Bryant was a true freshman who didn’t arrive on Auburn’s campus until last summer. He played in 11 games and finished with five tackles. He added 2.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble. Both of his sacks came in SEC games.
Last season, Auburn defensive end Marlon Davidson and cornerback Javaris Davis were named to the Freshman All-SEC team.
