A 20-year-old black male was pronounced dead today after Auburn police found him on the side of the road.
A news release from the Auburn police department said the man was found in the 600 block of Bedell Avenue after police responded to a call of "shots fired."
The man was transported by ambulance to East Alabama Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:57 p.m.. The news release said he sustained multiple gun shot injuries.
Auburn police are currently in pursuit of a suspect, but have not released the suspect of the victim's names.
The Auburn police department is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call them.
