A 27-year-old Auburn resident was found dead in her residence in the 500 block of North Dean Road this morning.
According to a news release from the Auburn Police Department, property management found the woman unresponsive while conducting a welfare check. Lee County Deputy Coroner Charlotte Patterson declared the woman dead at 9:07 a.m.
The news release said the woman had a history of medical problems and the death appears to be natural. Auburn police have withheld the woman's name pending official identification and notification of family.
The Auburn Police Division, the Lee County Coroner's Office and the State Medical Examiner's Office are currently investigating the incident. No foul play is suspected according to the news release.
