The Auburn Tigers will get a chance to cap off it's second perfect season in the last six years Jan. 10 in Glendale, Ariz., as they face the Oregon Ducks in the BCS National Championship Game.

Auburn defeated South Carolina 56-17 Saturday in Atlanta to earn its first ever BCS title bid while Oregon defeated Oregon State in the "civil war" to earn their first ever BCS title bid.

"This is an exciting time for the Auburn family, obviously for our coaches and players and for our fan base who have waited so long for this opportunity," said head coach Gene Chizik. "We're playing against a great football team and feel very fortunate to be able to play in this game and be able to accomplish the goals that we set forth a long time ago."

The matchup between the Ducks and Tigers will be the first between the two teams and a showdown of two high powered offenses. Auburn's last national title came in 1957 while Oregon is still looking for its first.
