On Monday, four men were arrested in Auburn after officers seized five pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, assorted illegal prescription medications, approximately $3,000 in cash and a pistol.
Arrested in the incident were Justin E. Leitstein, 21, of Boca Raton, Fla.; Christopher C. Carter, 20, of Decatur, Ala.; Dorian J. McFarland, 20, of Kokomo, Ind. and Justin N. Perez, 20, of Mesa, Ariz.
The Auburn Police Division's narcotics section, assisted by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, United States Postal Inspectors and the county-wide Tactical Team obtained a search warrant at a residence located in the 1600 block of Downs Way.
Leitstein was charged with trafficking marijuana, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carter was charged with trafficking marijuana.
McFarland and Perez were each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The four were transported to the Lee County Detention center. The bond on Leitstein was set at $35,000; Carter at $30,000; and McFarland and Perez at $1,000 each.
