Officials identified the Auburn University student struck by a Tiger Transit Tuesday morning as Danielle O'Mahoney.
She was airlifted to Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Ga., and is in stable condition.
The Auburn Police Division and emergency medical personnel responded to the traffic accident at approximately 6:42 a.m. on Lem Morrison Drive between South Donahue Drive and Camp Auburn Road.
A 21-year-old woman was stuck by the Transit's side view mirror while she was jogging the opposite way with a group of ROTC cadets.
Conscious at the scene, the student was transported to the Georgia hospital by a LifeSaver helicopter.
No other injuries were reported. A portion of Lem Morrison Drive was closed for approximately an hour and a half.
The driver's side mirror of the bus was knocked off during the incident.
